The Most Trending Queries Related to Coronavirus (COVID-19 or Wuhan Virus)
The whole world is at a halt due to the outbreak of pandemic called COVID-19 (Wuhan Virus or Coronavirus). Even the major economies and superpowers of the world are worst affected by it. The pandemic Novel Coronavirus is spreading up at a higher rate. As it is a brand new virus, there is no vaccine available for it. No one knows how much time it would take to get annihilated. It is spreading like a wildfire. It has taken thousands of lives and the death graph is still pacing up. More than 2 million people are infected with this virus. Besides this virus, there are some other aspects that too are dangerous if not taken seriously. These some other aspects include myths and rumours related to the Wuhan Virus itself. There are some questions about the possible outcomes of Coronavirus. Believe it or not, these were even searched on Google. Let's point them out, one by one.
Effects of Coronavirus on Global Airlines Industry
The airlines' industry is worst affected by this pandemic. There are several restrictions put on travelling, by the respective governments of most of the countries. As it could intensify the spread rate. It has resulted in flights flying with very few numbers of passengers and even none at all. This is because of the cancellation of flights. Various airlines giants are offering special vouchers instead of refunding money to those passengers who had already booked the flight earlier before the spread. Due to this, the cost of sending cargos has tripled than it was before. It is estimated that around $65 to $110 billion US dollars of revenue will be lost. Even the production is at a halt. Some experts also fear that some airlines would become bankrupt.
Is it safe to travel for one place to another amid the spread?
I don't think it would be a good idea to travel at this point of time. Travelling makes you more prone to get infected that sitting idle at home because you may encounter an infected person during the journey. Hence by coming out of your house, you are increasing the probability of getting infected. It is like you are giving an invitation to the virus to make your body its perfect host. Don't go out unless and until it is too important and unavoidable. And don't forget to take the necessary precautions.
Which countries have successfully controlled the pandemic spread?
This list includes Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea and Japan. These countries took strick measures to prevent the spread of the Wuhan Virus. They have not completely eradicated the virus but they have controlled the spread rate successfully. China doesn't qualify to be in this list because the second wave of this pandemic has just begun there.
Which place is most safe to get shelter during Coronavirus outbreak?
That place is none other than your home. No matter wherever you are, it is the safest place. But there are some precautions that needed to be followed as well.
Some suggestions for controlling the pandemic out
World Health Organisation (WHO) has already suggested precautions, we as an individual, need to adapt to. These include wearing a mask, washing hands with soap and water or some alcohol-based sanitizer, covering our mouth and nose while sneezing or coughing, avoiding handshakes, adopting social distancing, maintaining a distance of at least 1 metre (or 3 feet) with any other individual etc. God won't help us in eliminating it, we need to help ourselves. We and only we can end this pandemic by supporting each other. And finally appreciating the continuous and praiseworthy efforts of all those who are fighting against it at the risk of costing their lives. These are the real superheroes, these include Doctors, Nursing staff, Pharmacists, Police, Media personnel, Social Workers, Military etc.
Why some pilots and flying crew still allowed to fly?
When this pandemic outbroke, it didn't give any kind of warning. There were thousands of tourists exploring their dream places around the world. When flights were cancelled, these tourists got stuck at that place. That place was not their home and hence they wanted to fly back to their own. The government of those countries arranged these special flights for their citizens. Hence these pilots and flying crew also stands in the superhero category as well.
What changes the world would have after the pandemic ends?
It's a long way to go but still, there are some possible scenarios. These are based purely on hypothesis and might deviate from reality. The global image of China will tarnish. This pandemic has shown the world why depending too much on a country, such as China, could be dangerous. These countries would look for an alternative to China. For instance, Japan has asked all its manufacturing giants to move their manufacturing plants out of China to either Japan or somewhere else. Japan is even paying a huge amount for doing that. The US might put strict sanctions on China. China might be isolated by major economies. The US and its allies would raise the concern of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Tibet on international forum. Screening test at airports might become a must.
Effect of Coronavirus on environment
Coronavirus has proven to be dangerous for human beings but it has helped the environment in getting slightly healed. We humans, in our greed, have destroyed the eco-system for our self-obsession. I think this virus outbreak is a virtue of our deeds. Nature has shown has that no matter how much technological advancement we achieve, we will never be perfect than Nature. Caban emissions have dropped, the atmospheric pollutants have reduced, rivers have become cleaner and even the ozone layer seems to be healing itself. Wildlife is roaming around the streets fearlessly and Mother Nature is acquiring back its place.
How much time would it take to put an end to this global pandemic Wuhan Virus?
The detailed study of the history of pandemics shows us that a pandemic grows rapidly and after reaching a peak, it dies rapidly with the same rate. The greater the area under the graph, the more lives it would take. Novel Coronavirus is currently in the first half phase and no one has any exact data how far it would lead. Therefore to make a prophecy about the duration of eradication of the virus is baseless. Still, some experts claim that it might take at least 2 years to annihilate this virus, minimum one year would be consumed itself in developing the vaccine and the rest in production and distribution.
What are the lifestyle changes that COVID-19 has brought?
Each country issued a public circular about the precautions that needed to be taken to avoid getting infected from Coronavirus, on various platforms. All those preventive measures demand to take care of proper hygiene. Because of that, I believe, people have become more hygienic than ever before. It might become a habit for them to take good care of their hygiene, in the coming time.
